An article about Student Radicals in Southeastern Idaho by Merwin "Bob" Swanson appeared in Idaho Yesterdays in 1976 and featured stories about Sam.Pictures are from the 1936 Wickiup, the yearbook of the University Of Idaho, Southern Branch. Editor of the Wickiup was Verna Bostic, Sam's first wife. Sam was editor of the school newspaper, The Bengal.
